Day 1: Hue Arrival –Thien An – Phu Cam – Our Lady of Lavang
Your private guide and driver will meet you outside of the arrival hall then transfer to visit Thien An Monastery and Phu Cam Cathedral.
Thien An Monastery is located in Thuy Bang, Huong Thuy, Thua Thien Hue, in a romantic, airy space in the middle of the forest of pine. After many years of establishment, with type of design as convent church, Thien An Monastery still retains its intimacy, harmonize with nature, and be beautiful between forest. We will have a great time there.
In 1940, the French monks of the Benedictines (Benedictine Order) exploited this place and named it as Thien An (peace from heaven). At this monastery, the monks live totally within the abbey, without outside activity. Coming to ThienAn monastery as starting a journey of finding peace in your soul and be in harmony with nature, and run away from the burden of life.
Phu Cam Cathedral is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Hue, and is one of the largest, the most famous and the oldest church in Hue.
Then we will take time to enjoy coffee at Marie’s coffee (Orchid Coffee) next to the Cathedral. You’ll be welcomed into a nice and cozy atmosphere, frequented mainly by locals. Your guide will introduce you the schedule of the day and the history of local life, while enjoying a nice Vietnamese coffee.
In the afternoon, we continue driving to Our Lady of Lavang – A major pilgrimage center for Catholics in Vietnam, spending time for praying and overnight in Sister Retreat House.
Day 2: Our Lady of La Vang – Thanh Tan Hot Springs by Fusion
After breakfast, we drive back to Hue, drive straight to Thanh Tan Hot Springs.
The Thanh Tan Hot Springs is situated 13 kilometers north of the city center of Hue. It provides scenic surroundings of mass of trees and hilly regions, and fresh mountainous air amidst flowing hot mineral water springs.
Built around a natural spring, where the bottled mineral water “Thanh Tan” came from, the waterpark is an ideal place to go to if you want to get away from all the pressures of life and just relax and let go. With a tranquil atmosphere on top of its soothing waters, it is perfect for both body and mind rejuvenations.
You can soak in hot stream, relax, spend special time to mix with impressive nature.
Day 3: Back to Hue – Hue City tour
After breakfast, we will continue to enjoy a gift from the nature for your well-being by bathing in mineral water that nourishes and energizes the body, and visit the park featuring a wide range of outdoor activities such as Highwire, Zipline, water games, fishing and craft villages.
Then we will check out hotel and drive back to Hue City and make a city tour.
Enter the ancient Hue Citadel and the Forbidden City.
The poetic and beautiful Hue of Vietnam was chosen to be the capital of the Southern Kingdom under Nguyen Lords’ Dynasty, and officially became the nation’s capital under Tay Son Dynasty, King Quang Trung. The citadel palace complex is located on the North bank of Huong River (Perfume River), inside Hue city.
It is a huge complex covering an area of 520ha and comprising three circles of ramparts, Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel). The rule of the last Vietnamese Emperor lasted until the mid-1900s. At the time, the Purple Forbidden City had many buildings and hundreds of rooms. It suffered from termite and cyclone damage, but was still very impressive. Many bullet holes left over from the war can also be observed on the stone walls.
Conclude this splendid day with a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, which overlooks the Perfume River and is the official symbol of the city of Hue. Thien Mu means “elderly celestial woman”, and refers to an old legend about the founding of the pagoda.
From here, cruise back to Hue centre on the legendary Perfume River. The views on both sides of the river with the citadel, town, gardens, pagodas, towers and temples, provide good photo opportunities while enjoying this short 45 minutes cruise.
Then we will visit TuDuc’s Tomb, is considered as one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty.
This tomb, constructed between 1864 and 1867, is the most popular and impressive of the royal mausoleums. Emperor Tu Duc designed it himself to use before and after his death. Tu Duc’s tomb is 5km south of Hue on Van Nien Hill in Duong Xuan Thuong village.
It depends on your time, we will add in destinations or cut off some of them. Then we will transfer you to the airport for your fight home.
